Patrick is a
retired carpenter, so building a teardrop was not a huge leap for him, although
during construction he said that he could see where the average handyman could get into some
trouble. Patrick is selling his first teardrop because his wife would like
him to build one 300mm wider. So here are the specs of his first effort: |
 |
- Cabin size = 2.4x1.2 (8x4)
- Weight = 250kg
- Drawbar = 1.2 (4'0)
- LOA = 3.4 (11'4")
- Roof outside = 1mm aluminium sheeting
- Sides = 0.6 stucco aluminium on 17mm ply panel
sheeting
- Inside = lined with material, ceiling = crushed camel
velour, walls = brown suede
- Storage boot has hinged divider allowing for access
to bottom of bed from rear of teardrop
- Stereo DVD player and 12 volt battery pack system
fitted
- All outside lights are LED and includes mag wheels,
new tyers, 4.5mm perspex doors
Patrick Gardiner's Teardrop, built in Chirnside Park,
Victoria 2006.
