One
of the biggest advantages of a teardrop is that its compact size makes it easy
to tow. In December 1998, a Australian national regulation came into
effect that limits the mass a vehicle can tow. So if you are going to purchase a
trailer or caravan, it is critical that you give careful consideration to your
vehicle’s towing mass and construction prior to making your purchase.
At
less than 300 kg you can tow an Aussie Teardrop Camper
with a trike, a small car or a small 4WDrive. But it still looks cool
behind a large Land Cruiser or BMW. You should see a teardrop behind a new
Jeep Wrangler!
Travelling through the city isn't a problem and parking is
pretty easy too. A bit more hassle than parking a car, but nothing like
parking a caravan or large trailer. If
you have any questions or concerns about towing, try the National Caravan and
Recreational Vehicle Towing
