Homebuilt - John Walker - $10,800  !!!SOLD!!!

Hi everyone I am selling my beloved Teardrop, we are not using it enough and would like it to go to a good home. I built it from scratch using:

  • Galvanised square tube chassis, 'A' model Ford fenders and tail lights and new tyres
  • Hoop pine ply sides finished with marine clear coating, aluminium roof, insulation and lined ceiling, opening skylight, opening windows with screens to the side doors
  • Wired for both 240v & 12v the rear kitchen has a mini fridge, cupboards and shelves, internal 12v lights and external power point
  • Dimensions are 1200mm wide, 1200mm high from chassis and 2700mm long (an extra 300mm)
  • ...but wait, there's more... a custom made annexe that fits over the kitchen hatch with room for table and chairs

It's all still in great nic (although the roof's not quite as shiny as in the pictures), registered and your's for $10,800

Home built - George Sansbury - $4,000  !!!SOLD!!!

  • 8ft long and 4 ft. wide, weight approx. 300kg. which is so light that you don't even notice it when towing - tows with only 40kg. coupling weight
  • Side door and a side window plus a roof vent, so stays cool!
  • Inside is a twin size foam mattress, with a conventional teardrop kitchen arrangement at the back
  • The spare is under the teardrop just behind the axle, for easy access

I have the plans for Mk.2 (to accommodate an electric buggy inside) and am really keen to get started. However I need the garage space so Mk.1 has to go. This teardrop has just been completed (a labour of love) and has been on a wildly successful maiden run to Wilson's Prom (see photo's).  Asking price of $4,000 covers materials but doesn't, of course, reflect the hundreds of hours put into it - so it is a great buy.
