Here are some important questions to ask yourself or the
manufacturer before you buy a trike.
You should make a list of what you want part by part and than
get prices for the finished trike, because you might get a top-box or tow-bar
cheaper at one company but pay extra for the right gear-box ratio or for dual
carbies at the same mob. What counts in the end is "what do I get for my
money?"
- Don't hesitate to ask questions. Spend your hard earned money
wisely.
- Talk to a few people who are riding trikes already.
It will pay off to do a bit more home-work and it could save
you a lot of money over the years to make the right choice in the first place.
Here are some of many questions you should ask:
- Can I register your model in any State in Australia?
- How many trikes have you built and sold in Australia?
- Are the Gear-boxes new, rebuilt or used?
- Are the motors new, rebuilt or just used ones?
- Which gear-box ratio do I get in my standard
trike?
- How much extra do I pay for dual carbies?
- How many colours can I chose from
without paying extra?
- Which parts are stainless steel and
which ones are chromed mild steel?
- How much Insurance will I have to pay?
- What is the current resale value?
